Cape Reinga, New Zealand

The Maori people ask that no one eat at Cape Reinga because it is a sacred place and they do not want the land to be disturbed. The clean lush scenery adds to the enchanting nature of this spiritual location.

The Dead Sea, Israel and Jordan

The Dead Sea (which is actually a lake by the way) is the lowest elevation on earth at 1290 feet below sea level. The minerals found there are used for many medical treatments, so it is widely regarded as one of the most healing places on earth. The magnesium, potassium, calcium, and salts found there have been used to heal anything from skin rashes to arthritis.

The salt in the water is 10 times saltier than regular ocean water and the air surrounding the area even contains more oxygen. This improves breathing and digestion. The Dead Sea holds importance in many different religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. You can take a tour to the location, but don’t take a dip! It’s considered the second most dangerous place to swim in Israel.
